My Three Stooges Page

Moe Howard (Moses Horowitz), the "boss Stooge", joined Ted Healy in 1922, forming the vaudeville act that became the Three Stooges. In 1925 Larry Fine
(Laurence Feinberg) joined the troupe, and with Moe's brother Shemp (Samuel Horowitz), the trio was complete. Shemp was replaced by Jerry "Curly" Howard
(Jerome Horowitz) in 1932, but "Curly-Joe", the most popular Stooge, was forced to retire in 1947 due to a stroke. Shemp reprised his character until his death in
1955, and Joe Besser was introduced. Curly-Joe DeRita (Joesph Wardell) became the last Stooge in 1958. When Moe die in 1975 the Stooges 50 year history ended, leaving
a legacy of 190 shorts and 10 feature films.

A Plumbing We Will Go(1940)
 |
When the Three Stooges pose as plumbers to elude the police, the ineptness overflows and they almost destroy a mansion, leaving everyone with that sinking feeling. Dudley Dickerson's battle in the kitchen is a classic. |
